Continuity Tester - Construction
The modified schematic.
I wanted to use different probes, so I added an audio trerminal block.
The probes plug into the terminal block; one red, one black.
Some parts:
A project box, an LED I had sitting around, a battery connector and an audio terminal block thingie...
The audio terminal block.
I used a dremel to cut out the project box where the terminals went, then pop riveted the block to the box.
The block from the top.
Note the precision dremel work...
The two black terminals are wired together and attach to the battery (yeah, I used a red wire. I are smart like that....)
the two red terminals attach to the LED.
It will work as long as one probe is attached to a black port and one to a red port.
A top view of the connections to the terminal block.
The other terminal of the battery (the black wire) completes the circuit to the LED.
The battery in it's holder and the holder smushed into the project box.
It's alive!
Alive!
Top on, ready to go...
