Take one of the blue LEDs and push it into place. You may need to apply heat if there's solder in the holes.
Space it so the tip of the LED just enters the big opening as shown.
Next double and triple check the orientation of the LED. (Again, here's the pic of the correct orientation.)
Then snip the excess leads.

Remember kids, every good solder joint starts with a firm physical connection.

The connection after soldering.
To solder it in place, apply heat with the iron to the spot where the LED lead and the copper around the hole meet. Touch the solder to the junction and it should melt into place.
